| Abstract |
Soil moisture measurements for two different catchments with three sites per catchment were taken in the southwestern part of Iowa. Soil moisture observations during the period 1972 to 1994 are available. Measurements were taken at 12 different soil layers up to a depth of 2.6 m. The gravimetric method was used for the top layers and a neutron probe for the lower layers. On average observations were made twice a month between April and October.
